There is more behind the scenes to flying a drone and capturing beautiful aerial photography which you may well be used to seeing. CAA approved operators are required to fly and log at least two hours of flight time over a rolling 3 month period in order to fly safely and under their CAA permission.

Maintaining these hours is very important, not only is it a requirement, it gives us the opportunity to safely test new updates to the drones firmware, check the drones systems are working properly and, to be able to retain the necessary skills needed to operate the drone safely.

During our recent training flight we stumbled upon this beautiful setting where the suns light rays penetrated through the clouds lifting and highlighting the village below. Fortunately with the camera already set up on the drone we were able to take advantage of the moment and capture this stunning image below.

CAA Certified pilots are required to maintain flight hours for aerial photography.
